Dear "...",
I am writing to you today to ask for your help and support with Alzheimer Europe’s campaign to make dementia a European health and research priority. I hope that you are aware of our organisation’s Glasgow Declaration (see enclosed document) which calls for the development of a European dementia strategy and national dementia plans, greater global collaboration on dementia and increased funding for all types of dementia research. I am sure that you are sharing our campaign aims.

To date, we have  signed up 5,300 individuals (53% of our target), 97 organisations and 84 policy makers - including 66 MEPs  and we are now making a final effort to collect signatures before the campaign ends on 30 November.

We have 7 more weeks to gain as many signatures as possible and to show the European institutions that European citizens and researchers wish greater collaboration on dementia. I hope that you have signed already yourself (http://www.alzheimer-europe.org/petition/sign/17969/en).

In addition, it would be great if you could help us by spreading the work and encouraging your colleagues and staff members to sign.

Please note that the Glasgow Declaration is available and can be signed in Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish:

Many thanks in advance for your help
